The Up Side Bar

The Challenge: To design an identity and accompanying visual language for the "Upside Bar" area within the Capital Markets division of Investec. The brief was to develop a free-standing look and feel which communicates the sentiment of being on the "upside" of life. Solution: The Upside Bar identity combines faces with drinking glasses, to create unique characters and designs which are all consistent yet visually differentiated. Creating a "logo" toolkit of sorts. The faces/devices can be applied in a variety of ways to create interesting visuals or used as stand-alone characters with the logotype. The strapline "Keeping Good Spirits" ties it all together and reflects the positive upside of life as well as literally relating to spirits (drinks).
