To design an identity and accompanying visual language for the "Upside Bar" area within the Capital Markets division of Investec. The brief was to develop a free-standing look and feel which communicates the sentiment of being on the "upside" of life.
The Upside Bar identity combines faces with drinking glasses, to create unique characters and designs which are all consistent yet visually differentiated. Creating a "logo" toolkit of sorts. The faces/devices can be applied in a variety of ways to create interesting visuals or used as stand-alone characters with the logotype. The strapline "Keeping Good Spirits" ties it all together and reflects the positive upside of life as well as literally relating to spirits (drinks).
